Mbano Manor Hotel is delighted to announce the upcoming launch of Bayuni Songbird Retreat, an intimate and tranquil wellness space designed to soothe the soul and awaken the senses. Opening September 2025 at Mbano Manor Hotel, Victoria Falls – a Time Magazine World’s Greatest Places 2025 destination – the Retreat adds a new dimension of rejuvenating experiences, at our award-winning boutique sanctuary.
Also opening is the Mbano Open Air Gym, a small fitness hub located adjacent to the wellness space.
Inspired by Nature and Community
“Bayuni,” meaning The Birds in the local Nambia dialect, is inspired by the birdsong that fills our forest haven. Our wellness theme, Songbird Retreat captures this harmony, with every wellness treatment echoing the hotel’s commitment to thoughtful, eco-conscious luxury.
According to Mati Nyazema, Owner and Director of Mbano, the design of the retreat captures the essence of community. “A traditional kraal boundary wall, designed and built by Mbano staff, provides privacy and time to reflect. While authentic Binga doors pay homage to ancestors who sought refuge and rest, but whose architecture still inspires young creatives today.”
