A wonderful boutique hotel! - Mbano Manor Hotel is a very nice boutique hotel in an area of Victoria Falls that is all relatively new. The grounds are nicely landscaped with a natural feeling. The... read more rooms are spacious, but not expensively so. The mosquito netting over the beds is a very nice touch. The bathroom is relatively cramped and for a hotel that is only five years old, there was excessive wear, lack of maintenance, and, particularly in the showers, lack of thorough cleaning. We had one room where the air conditioning unit was not functioning well enough to cool the broom, and the hotel management made an attempt to repair it. When that was unsuccessful, they switched us to a different suite. The complementary breakfast was outstanding as was the service. All in all, we had a wonderful stay. The maintenance issues and lack of cleanliness in the showers prevented us from giving us otherwise fine hotel five stars.

Enjoyable Stay  - The Mbanor Manor is a very nice lodge located in a suburb of Victoria Falls. I had assumed that it was in an isolated area but it’s actually in... read more an unusual neighborhood that is filled with boutique inns and lodges.

The lodge is 2-3 miles from the Falls and most restaurants which is somewhat inconvenient. They offer a free shuttle during the day which helps a lot. At night they can arrange taxis for you but the costs are double the local rates (one way trip @ $20 vs. $10).

The grounds are well maintained and the main buildings are very nice. There’s an outdoor pool with nice lounge chairs but we didn’t use it.

Our deluxe villa/suite was very nice. It was the size of a junior suite with a large bathroom and a nice porch. The mini-bar was stocked with complimentary beer and soft drinks. They weren’t very cold though as the mini-bar didn’t work well.

WiFi worked was very good. TV had lots of channels but was difficult to use - confusing guide and two remotes, one for volume and one for channels.

The place was pretty empty as we didn’t see any other guests during our two days here. This didn’t affect service and the restaurant, though. Both were excellent.

The Mbanor Manor is a high quality lodge although a bit out of the way.

The team here are experts in planning and delivering the best experiences Victoria falls has to offer.
Lastly I will add, a part of the stay that wasn’t heavily advertised is how exceptional the food is. The onsite chef prepared one of the best chicken burgers I’ve ever had. Couple that with the traditional oxtail stew and it’s hard to recommend leaving the hotel for a meal (with the exception of the boma and dinner cruise).

Mbano feels like you’re in the bush and surrounded by nature. Food was fresh, tasty and made with quality ingredients. It’s a limited menu so after day 4 got a bit “samey” but consistently high quality. The room was of very high spec with perfect finishes. Everything worked and highly convenient. Room was an excellent size with a substantial outside seating area. Staff were very friendly whether it was reception, restaurant, housekeeping, etc. You will need a car to get around once you leave the property and Victoria Falls is 10-15 minutes. Same to the airport.
